About

“Mary and Heidi are the type of teachers we as parents dream about. They have a wealth of experience and the type of personalities that make them ideal teachers, now Mary and Heidi have created their own school for our kids to learn and grow and it is no surprise that it is a wonderful program. Benefits of the school include: a caring and comforting space where each person is valued and supported to grow and express themselves, a plethora of different activities and experiences for students to utilize in their learning journey, a relaxed pace balanced with structure and lessons, a full day schedule that supports working parents and in many cases avoids the need for additional childcare options, and a space our children look forward to going everyday.”

Heidi Donnelly

Heidi has been teaching in public school settings in grades K-2 spanning over 20 years.  While having held leadership roles in both Literacy and Mathematics, she is most excited about rekindling her love of Social Studies from her connection to the National Geographic Society as a teaching consultant early in her career.

Heidi’s belief that understanding each child’s unique development is essential was influenced by her experience working in special purpose preschool, but she values this approach teaching students of all abilities and ages.

After teaching public school Kindergarten through the pandemic Heidi feels that the opportunity to continue teaching students in small groups is not only beneficial to children but will allow her to professionally do her best work yet.

Volunteering for over a decade with Make a Wish Maine, Heidi is fortunate to be a wish granter guiding many amazing children and their families through a journey seeking strength, hope, and joy. Heidi enjoys gardening, being poolside, lakeside or beachside and traveling to places she has not yet experienced. Her family time is spent with her husband and two teenage sons.
